Well the sun is shining (and has been for the past few days, which is odd...), so I took advantage of the nice weather and went to sit outdoors. After I'd finished 'A Dance With Dragons' (Where is the sequel? Hurry up!), I decided it was probably about time I used up the rest of the henna I had in my fridge.
So I set myself a challenge. After my last event went so well doing smaller designs for kids, I decided to challenge myself to something bigger. I don't see myself doing any weddings any time soon, but I thought I'd give a nice Bridal henna a go.
One hand took 1hr 30min, although that could be because I did stop for quite a few breaks, or because I was enjoying the sunshine. And I mean really enjoying it. Sat in The Garden (the name given to the patch of grass outside our window), chill out music on, really bright sunshine, warm breeze... If TT week continues like this, I will be in heaven (and, probaby, covered in henna, juding by today's success).
Critiques are welcome. I'm still learning, so please let me know if you can see something in my work that could be improved. I did keep covering the design in a lemon/sugar spray, but even so it was cracking. Stayed on, though.
On a plus side, The Henna Circus is ready to go live! Check out my blog in a few days for more information.
